May Adventures - Highland Games, County Shows & a Special Pop-Up!

Spring is in full swing here in Bonnie Scotland, and we at WagsWhiskersGifts are wagging our tails in excitement! May is packed with some paw-some events, and we’re thrilled to be on the road, out and about meeting you and your furry companions across the country.

🐄 Ayr County Show – Saturday 10 May

We’re kicking off our May event calendar with the beloved Ayr County Show – a family favourite and a must-do in the agricultural calendar. From livestock to local produce, and of course, pets galore, this show is a wonderful, fun-packed day out. Pop by our stall for tail-wagging goodies and special show-day offers! Located at Ayr Racecourse from 9am-5pm.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Gourock Highland Games – Sunday 11 May

We’re proud to be part of Gourock Highland Games, the first of Scotland’s summer Games season. With pipe bands, caber tossing, Highland dancing, and plenty of local traders, it’s a celebration of Scottish tradition and community spirit. Don’t forget to bring your pups along – our stall will have treats, toys, and accessories perfect for your four-legged clan. Located at Battery Park, Greenock from 12pm-6pm, this exceedingly popular event is free entry too. 

🛍️ 7-Day Pop-Up Shop at Dobbies Garden Centre (Lasswade) – 19 to 25 May

We’re popping up major retail style! Join us at Dobbies Garden Centre in Lasswade for a full week of shopping. From Monday 19 May to Sunday 25 May, you can browse our bestsellers, discover exclusive new products, and get personalised gift ideas – all while picking up your garden supplies and enjoying a coffee. Perfect for a spring day out! Located in Midlothian, EH18 1AZ, we will be there during store opening times Mon-Sun 9am-6pm.
